Some people walk this earth and touch the lives of many. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On Thursday, August 11, 2022, Kenneth Bradshaw rejoined his heavenly family and gained his wings. He was 74 years old. Kenneth Wayne Bradshaw was born to Bill and Lucille (Kainer) Bradshaw on April 16, 1948, in Stamford, Texas. He completed his formal education as a Stamford Bulldog, graduating in 1968. Kenneth was united in marriage to the love of his life Miss Molly Driskill on December 18, 1971, in Stamford, TX. A union that was blessed with two children, Cherie, and Jake. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Navy from February 19, 1969, to December 7, 1972, he took pride in the fact that he was stationed at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii during part of his tour. Kenneth was employed by Ringo Drilling as a drilling superintendent for 35 years. Kenneth was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. He volunteered at numerous cook-offs for volunteer fire departments including Fire and Ice Feast, Texas Wild Bunch, and ECCA Volunteer Fire Department. As a family man he was a loving husband, father, and grandad who was always only a phone call away. He made it a point to see his grandchildren every week and he cherised family gatherings. His personal favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, camping and golf. By faith he was a Baptist. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Linda Carol McBay, brother, Billy Don Bradshaw, 3 brothers-in-law, Mike McBay, Jerry Driskill and Doug Driskill. Those who will continue to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Molly Bradshaw of Abilene, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Robert McCray of Abilene, RX: son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Kelley Bradshaw of TX; 4 grandchildren; Hayden McCray, Saige McCray, Brady Bradshaw, and Wyatt Bradshaw; 2 sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family gathered for visitation at Trinity Church (220 E. McHarg St.) Stamford, TX from 10 a.m. till service time August 16, 2022. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernie McLean officiating. Interment followed at 1:00 p.m. with military rites at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery near Abilene, TX under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford, TX.
