Cheyanne Rey Fuentes

Cheyanne’s life story began on July 19, 1999, the oldest child to Rudy and Angie (Salas) Fuentes was born in Abilene, TX. Cheyanne grew up in Stamford, TX, where she spent her childhood, graduated from Stamford High School in 2018, and made many friends. She continued her education at Cisco College, graduating in 2019 as a pharmaceutical technician. Cheyanne loved to read, she enjoyed writing stories, was an artist and a Catholic by faith. She also loved to dance and do costume makeup. Cheyanne’s treasured time was being around her family. Cheyanne Rey Fuentes, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 22, 2021 following a brief illness. Rosary Services were held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, 807 Columbia, Stamford, TX. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial followed in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her great grandfather, Tony Escobedo and grandfather, Rudy Fuentes, Sr. Cheyanne will be lovingly remembered by her family: parents, Angie and Rudy Fuentes of Haskell, TX; brother, Christyan Fuentes of Stamford, TX; grandmother, Hermelinda Fuentes of Haskell, TX; grandmother, Irma Salas of Stamford, TX; grandfather, David Jimenez of Clifton, TX; great grandmother, Casimira Escobedo of Stamford, TX; a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
