Covid-19 Won’t Keep Christmas Dinner Away!

December 17, 2020

The 33rd Annual Christmas Dinner will see a few changes this year due to COVID-19. Now, more than ever, we need to take care of each other, whether we wear masks and stay 6 feet apart or stay home and stay safe from the virus.

The traditional meal of turkey and dressing, ham, sweet potatoes, green beans and pie will be available for takeout and delivery only this year. A very hard decision was made to close dine-in fellowship due to COVID-19. Those delivering and serving will also be practicing social distancing as much as possible, and will be screened before participating. The Christmas Dinner committee wants to keep everyone safe, including our many volunteers and those receiving meals.

Meals will be delivered and available for takeout from 11 AM to 1 PM on Christmas Day. Please call 325-773-2561 ahead of time for deliveries.

Many volunteers in the Stamford community make this event happen. This includes those who have cooked turkeys, pies and cornbread ahead of time and those who prepare and deliver meals on Christmas Day. In the past, we have served anywhere from 650-750 meals and have had over 100 volunteers give their time to make this a special celebration. We encourage anyone who wants to be a part of this great opportunity to call 325-773-2561. You will be truly blessed.
