Maggie Marie Baldowski

Maggie Marie Baldowski, 93 of Stamford, passed away Saturday, December 12, in A Fort Worth Hospital. Funeral service were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16 in the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Chapel burial followed in Spring Creek Cemetery near Avoca.

Maggie was born October 18, 1927 in Anson, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Johnny Noble and Effalena (Morris) Humphreys. She graduated from Anson High School in 1946 and married William Henry Baldowski Jr. January 2, 1946.

Maggie was one of the original members and co-founders of the First Assembly of God Church in Stamford. Her passion was serving God. She was a true Prayer Warrior.
She owned and operated Maggie’s Café for 28 years closing in 1996. After closing the restaurant Maggie cooked at the Teakwood Nursing Home, retiring at the age of 84. Maggie enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends, and family gatherings. She loved all of her grandchildren and they were her pride and joy. She was a former member of the Stamford Business and Professional Women’s Club.

Preceding Maggie in death were her parents, husband, sister Helen McDaniels and two sons-in-law Michael Royce Ott and Armondo Baladez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children William Gary Baldowski and wife Lynne of Marietta, Georgia, Vicki Ann Baladez of Stamford and Janice Marie Ott of Stamford. Five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
