Jack Cochran

Jack Cochran, 84, of Stamford, TX
was born into this world on April 20,
1936 in Anson, TX to Riley Dean and
Stella Jean (Wade) Cochran. Surrounded
by his family he passed to his eternal
home on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00
p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Tankersley
Funeral home chapel. Burial will
follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery
under the direction of Tankersley
Funeral Home.
Jack was a graduate of Anson High School. He worked
at the Anson Sirloin Steakhouse for several years before
moving to Stamford. Jack was united in marriage to Louise
Wright on February 14, 1977 in Stamford, TX. Jack was
employed at the Cliff House Restaurant for 30 plus years,
until his health began to fail. Jack was a member of Solomon
Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev.
Donnie Massey.
Jack had numerous hobbies; he loved to fish, bake,
watch all sports, read, spend time with family, but most of
all he loved the Lord.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,
2 sons, Charles Cooper, and Hubert L. James, a daughter,
Thelma D. Wallace, 3 sisters, Stella Franklin, Martha
Hunter, Mary L. Belcher, 2 brothers, Riley Dean Cochran,
and James Anderson.
Left to cherish memories of Jack’s are 3 daughters, Wanda
Willis of Killeen, TX, Debbie A. James, and Irene Harmon
both of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 sons, Hayward Cooper of Omaha,
NE, and Robert E. James of Houston, TX; 28 grandchildren,
10 great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, numerous
nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.
The family has requested everyone attending the funeral
service to wear masks.
