Vola Ruth (Ratliff) Moore

Vola Ruth (Ratliff) Moore, 85, formally of Stamford, Texas, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in Big Spring, Texas. Graveside Services were held 11:30 am. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in the Roby Cemetery, in Roby Texas, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan, Texas. Born September 22, 1935, in Royston, Texas, Vola was the daughter of Walter Alvin and Mary Vesta (DeShazo) Ratliff. On December 5, 1952, she married the love of her life, Marion Franklin (Frank) Moore, in Clovis, New Mexico. Vola was an amazing homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Vola was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Marion Gough; two brothers; a sister; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by two daughters, Dee Dawn McCormick and husband Mark of Lubbock, Texas, and Jennifer Price and husband Steve of Big Spring, Texas; five grandchildren, Jason Price (Paige), Leighanna Barnes, Cori Matsakis (Louie), Casey McCormick ( Brittany), and Holly Price (Jeremy Jones); ten great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Gabriel, Maia, Sofia, Ava, Mason, Wyatt, Jeremiah, and Benaiah; two nieces; three nephews; and a host of friends.
