Edward “Eddy” Moreno

Edward “Eddy” Moreno of Lubbock, Texas, went to be with our Lord on January 18th, 2022, at the age of 77. Eddy was born February 27th, 1944, in Knox City, Texas, to Jesus “JC” Moreno and Rebecca Nieto Moreno. Eddy married his high school sweetheart, Lupe Pineda, and shared a loving marriage for 57 years. Eddy had a fulfilling career and retired from South Western Bell after 30 years of service. Eddy was a dedicated advocate and was involved with the League of United Latin American Citizens for many years. His hobbies included golf, making others laugh, and creating nicknames for many. His favorite hobby and greatest pride were watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was their biggest fan. Eddy is survived by his loving wife Lupe, three sons, Edward (Rosa), Martin (Sara), Ernie, and daughter Becky Gilbert of Lubbock. Survived by his siblings Joe (Linda), Gilbert (Elizabeth), Raymond, Mario, Lorenzo (Emilia), Lupe, Pete, and Liz. Preceded in passing by his beloved son Sam, parents JC and Rebecca Moreno, Dominga Moreno, brother Donald “Donny,” and sister Mary Moreno. Continuing Eddy’s legacy are his nine grandchildren: Jeremi, Joshua, Rubi, Justin, Alexandra, Lukas, Jake, Ryder, and Jayson. The viewing will be Friday, January 21st at Adams-Graham Funeral Home in Anson, Texas; beginning at 11:00 am. Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 22nd, in Anson, Texas, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
