They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Anisimo Julian Moreno, 87 of Stamford passed away Friday, February 20, 2022 in Wichita Falls. A Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Chapel . Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 25 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery in Avoca, Texas with arrangement by Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. Julian was born February 16, 1935 in Stamford, Texas the son of the late Modesto and Augustina Martinez Moreno. He married Liliahlda “Lily” Acosta, June of 1967 in Stamford. She preceded him in death March 31st 2019. Julian was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He worked for the City of Stamford many years, various Cotton Gins and was a cement contractor. Anyone that worked with Julian knew how much he loved his family and was always smiling. He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family more especially his grandchildren. He was a lifetime resident of Stamford and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Julian is predeceased by his parents; wife; 2 sons David Roy Moreno and Ronald Frank Acosta; son-in-law Edward Barron; three brothers Felix Moreno, Roy Moreno and Albino Moreno. He is lovingly survived by his children Debbie Gonzales and husband Roland, Nicholas Acosta and wife Deborah, Marcos Acosta and wife Melba and Frank Acosta all of Stamford, Melissa Barron of Abilene, Orlando Moreno and wife Tammie of Wichita Falls, David Moreno of Abilene, Mario Moreno of Fort Worth, Vickie Gonzales and husband Oscar of Fort Worth, Julio Moreno of Fort Worth; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
