Edith Mae Ham

Edith Mae Ham, 89, lifetime resident of Lueders passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Anson. The family received visitors from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Thursday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy McEwen officiating, burial followed in Clear Fork Cemetery in Lueders. Edith was born November 28, 1932, in Lueders, TX. She is the daughter of the late John Banks and Gorhum Wills Ham. She graduated Lueders High School in 1950 and then attended McMurry College. She farmed and worked for Duke Butane and Appliance for many years retiring in 1988. Edith loved to help people. She was a very active member of the Lueders Methodist Church. She served on the Lueders City Council, the Lueders- Avoca School Board, assisted with city and county elections, and was a member of the Clear Fork Cemetery association. Those preceding her in death are parents; sister, Maurine Kendrick; brother and sister-in-law Arlington and Pearl Ham; two nephews, Scotty Ham and Jody Spraberry. Edith is survived by two brothers, Alfred Ham of Boerne, Wayne Ham and wife Wanda of Haskell; two nieces, Bonnie Kendrick of O’Brien and Joann Williams of Stamford; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
